What program/tools/brushes do you use?

I use Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Bamboo Tablet.

The brushes I use are basically a select few from the hundred I’ve been collecting for years, so unfortunately I do not remember all of the sources for them.

Do you do requests? How about commissions?

I don’t usually do requests though you’re always welcome to shoot me ideas in the ask, just be aware that you probably won’t get a reply unless I am super inspired by the idea. I do commissions sometimes but they are currently closed, keep your eye open for future commission posts though!

Where can I find higher resolution versions of your pictures?/Why do they only link back to the main blog?

A number of reasons! I’m just going to copy and paste from when I answered this ask:

• It’s much easier for me to control the way the image will look when tumblr uploads it if I resize it ahead of time. Each image I do is already rescaled to something akin to 500x700 before I upload it, so that if tumblr poops on the quality I can quickly go in and fiddle with stuff.
• Cuts down on the image size. My internet is typically rather slow and I hate waiting for high res stuff to load, especially my own stuff. 
• Cuts down on the likelihood of people trying to steal art and pass it off as their own. If the image links straight back to the main blog, there’s no source confusion and no big file for them to save and print or whatever.

If I think something will make a nice desktop background I do like to try and upload that version if I have the time! There’s a tag for that.

Can I use your art in my icon?

Yep! You don’t need to ask permission for this, just please credit back to paperpie.tumblr.com. A good place for this is in your sidebar or in the icon description if you’re using it somewhere like livejournal.

May I cosplay one of your designs?

Go for it! You really don’t need to ask about this one ahead of time either, though it’s cool if you let me know and definitely send pictures of the outfit!

Why do you sign your stuff “Melia”? Can I call you that or “PaperPie”? 

Melia is my name, pronounce mah-LEE-ah. You can call me by it or “Paperpie”, either is fine with me. Oh, and I’m a lady so she/her pronouns are good.

I’m sorry, I really do read and appreciate all messages I get, I just sometimes can’t get around to responding to them all! I really don’t want to clog people’s dashes with just me responding to things everyday when they’re really here for the art. This is also why I do things like this FAQ section and tag replies with #askpaper so people can tumblr savior them.
